OPENING THIS WEEKEND

Hey everyone. Good news has just been relayed to me. Tussey Mountain will be opening on December 11, 2010! Lifts will be in operation from 9:00am to 5:00pm on both Saturday & Sunday. If you haven't done this already, get those skis waxed up cause ski season is here! Oh I almost forgot. For all you freeskiers and snowboarders, look for the possibility of couple of rails to be setup on skiers left of Utah for opening day. Check out Tusseymountain.com for ticket rates. If you don't have a ticket, you can't ride and that includes in the park. So make sure you have a ticket or season pass because we will be checking. Get excited guys. The time has come that everyone has been waiting for. I look forward to seeing you all out there on Opening day!

Fresh Paint

Here are some pics of the newly painted rails. Its been about 7 years since they have received a coat of paint and let me tell ya, it makes a difference. The boxes will get new top sheeting and the rails will have wood skirting to make the features more complete and for increased safety. The new color scheme will go like this: rails= dark green, skirting= stained, and logos= gray/green. Be on the look out for possibly 2 new features in the U-Park for this season. We are also trying to organize some rail jams for the season as well. So stay tuned into for more info on park layouts, events, pictures, and videos as the season kicks off!

New Name and Improvements for Tussey Mountains Terrain Park

Hey everyone! This is the new official blog for U-Park at Tussey Mountain. U-Park is the new name for the terrain park that is located on Utah. Also, with Tussey being so close to Penn State University, aka University Park, it seemed like a fitting name. Winter is just around the corner. According to Accuweather, snow making conditions well be in the area Thanksgiving weekend. Make Tusseymountain.com your home page so you can get the latest updates on opening day! We have a lot of improvements coming to the U- Park this year. We have freshly painted rails with an addition to wood skirting on the sides of the rails. Me, Mike Urich, and Curtis Harrison have been working our butts off to make this year great. The Park will now be isolated with fencing and will have terrain park safety and etiquette signs, at both the entrance and bottom of U-Park. There will also be a beginner park on Little Bear with available Freestyle skiing/snowboarding lessons. Checkout Tusseymountain.com for more information on ski/snowboarding lessons. I hope you are all just as excited as Curtis and I are about this season. We hope to provide the best park Tussey has ever seen. We look forward to seeing you in the new U-Park this season. Get PUMPED!!!
